Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented and innovative Industrial Designer to join our dynamic design team. As an Industrial Designer, you will be responsible for creating functional, aesthetically pleasing, and user-centered designs for a wide range of products. Your role will involve collaborating with engineers, marketers, and other designers to turn concepts into tangible, manufacturable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualization & Ideation: Develop creative ideas and concepts for new products, considering usability, functionality, and aesthetic appeal.
  • Design Development: Produce detailed sketches, 3D models, and prototypes of product designs.
  • Material Selection: Identify appropriate materials for product designs, balancing performance, cost, and sustainability.
  • Prototyping: Work closely with prototyping teams to create physical models of designs and assess their viability.
  • User-Centered Design: Focus on user experience (UX) principles and ensure that designs meet the needs and preferences of the target audience.
  • Collaboration: Work in partnership with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to refine designs and ensure manufacturability.
  • CAD & Rendering: Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to create precise design drawings and renderings for internal and external presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial design or product design. Experience in Consumer appliance and Automotive sector
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Rhino, AutoCAD, Fusion 360).
    • Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and product development lifecycle.
    • Excellent sketching, prototyping, and visualization skills.
    • Understanding of ergonomics and human-centered design principles.
    • Experience with 3D printing and rapid prototyping technologies.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • To establish initial contact with the potential customers through personal network and in coordination with the marketing department for acquiring business.
  • Should identify prospective clients, generating business from existing clients, thereby achieving the business target.
  • Coordinate and support program manager and application engineers to access the required information and prepare Quotes.
  • Conduct price negotiation with the customers, ensure purchase orders and coordinate the times plan for execution.
  • Establish quarterly revenue targets with the Management and prepare weekly status reports.
